Trend Alert: Oversized clutches for every budget!

Oversized clutches are so in right now. Let’s face it, little clutches are cute, but  not practical for daily over packers like me. I never leave home without my lip gloss, mascara, eyeliner, iPhone, wallet, and car keys. Fitting all that into a tiny clutch is a tight squeeze to say the least.

Picture from InStyle Magazine

My very good friend once told me to never spend a lot on trendy bags because they will go out of style, save the big bucks for the classics. I have definitely lived by that rule! Here are some of my favorite oversized clutches fit for every budget! I am especially loving the envelope clutch right now. ❤ Masha

NY Fashion Week: Get inspired

There is only one event that can make me feel like its Christmas all over again, and that is Fashion week! I feel like the fashion world is giving me the gift of being able to prepare myself for the next season way ahead of time. This year, if you are not one of the lucky ladies that gets to attend the glamorous shows, you can watch all of them LIVE on YouTube and Maybeline channel – who said fashion shows are for A-listers? I was truly inspired by the beautiful Badgley Mischka collection, and I feel that I will definitely be pulling elements from it into my wardrobe this fall. Badgley Mischka is one of the top American designers, known for their simple yet elegant and streamlined designs. They will not disappoint us this fall. Here are my top looks and the elements that inspired me from the Badgley Mischka collection. ❤ Masha
Lace – so elegant and romantic
Black and gold combination – SIZZLING!

Sheer overlays make any outfit feminine and sexy with a little of a peekaboo effect
Fur is definitely here to stay – preferably faux fur
Asymmetric jackets – the entire outfit below is one of my favorites I’ve seen all week

Is your HEART in it this Valentine’s Day?

Is your HEART in it this Valentine’s Day?

Going on that first date is always a tough call when choosing an outfit… But not Valentine’s day… It’s the easiest! Be your fun self! Break out the girlie side – single, married, or ‘complicated’ – valentines day is about feeling pretty, seeking love, and being sexy! You can never go wrong with some lace, or even thick satin, as a cute dress, and a nice pair of pumps – when it comes to shoes, go nude for Valentine’s day! Like any of the outfits?
❤ Leana ❤

And my ultimate favorite? BCBG bandage skirt with a fun, colorful top filled with little flowers and crystals… Katy Perry wore it best:

Whether you are single and going out to a fun dinner with the girls or have been married for some time and have a romantic dinner planned, everyone needs a fabulous Valentines Day outfit. Here are my  top picks for you to fall in love with this Valentines day.  ❤ Masha

Casual yet sophisticated dinner…tuck in a fun colorful shirt like one of the two below into a black pencil skirt like this one from the Kardashian Kollection at Sears. This is a great wear to work outfit as well if you are celebrating Valentines day this Tuesday and won’t have time to run home to change after work.

To take this outfit from day to night add a long statement necklace like this one from Express
Romantic dinner with that special someone… To add some sparkle to your evening pair this with gold or silver sequin pumps …

Hot date…
Single and ready to mingle…

Do You Shootie?

Do You Shootie?

You can never go wrong with lace, mesh, or sheer when it comes to shoes. I’m all about simple elegance when it comes to fashion but the Shootie has made a definitive mark… Both on the super trendy scale as well as the classy timeless spectrum. And my ultimate favorite Shooties are by Oscar De La Renta and Jimmy Choo. They are modern, chic, and can complete any plain outfit with elegance and style. Although the shootie is not a new kid on the block, the laced up, meshed, or sheer shooties are definitely the hottest trends for Spring 2012. Pair it with your bandage skirt or dress it down with a nice pair of skinny jeans/capris… And you’re set… Not to mention, they are so comfortable!! I personally don’t like too much color… When you wear a lot of different colors, your asking for the wrong type of attention. Instead, pick two tone neutrals, or the ‘in’ colors this spring – fresh tones … Here’s a few fab looks that I fell in love with.

Boots to the rescue

If you live in the DC area, you are probably used to having an umbrella close by at all times because no matter what the weather channel promises, there is a pretty good chance it may rain. My favorite thing about rain, or about the only good thing that comes out of rain, is I get to wear my rain boots! I feel that rain boots are a must have for every closet. Do you really want to wear your nice leather or suede boots, or god forbid your brand new beige boots that you just spent half of your paycheck on at Bloomies? Lets face it, even if you find an old pair of tennis shoes to wear during a rainstorm, they wont save your pant bottoms from being plastered with nasty wet street sludge. Save the stress and avoid looking like you just came out of a waterworld flick – go out and get yourself a nice pair of rain boots. I prefer Hunter because they really are not only reasonably priced, but offer a wide selection of customizable options.. They have really cute designs, and they  are perfect for rain and snow. I’ve stepped into a foot of snow in mine and came out unharmed. Jimmy Choo paired with Hunter to create a line of fabulous rain boots, but as far as I know, the only difference is the Jimmy Choo Hunters have a leopard print inner lining to some that may be worth an extra $100. I also love all the different wellie socks you can now get to accesorise your rain boots and keep your feet warm because rubber will not get you through the winter months. They even have leopard print wellie socks which is how I made up for my plain black inner lining. If you don’t already have a fab pair of rain boots, now is great time to snag a pair because a lot of them are on sale with the winter season coming to a close. The other day I saw a huge selection of Hunter boots at Nordstrom rack. Here are some of my favorites:

These two are currently on sale at Bluefly:
